Noah's Story

Recently we attended Noah's parent-teacher conference. We weren't surprised that he received high marks and good reports. The only thing he has work on is editing when he writes (which you'll soon see). His teacher, Miss Groom, told us the students had just finished writing "longer" stories and she shared Noah's with us. Noah, in turn, wanted us to post it on the blog, so here's his story, complete with spelling and punctuation errors... not too bad for a 6-year old!

The Snow is FINALLY Melting!

We've been fortunate enough that the past couple of days have been fairly nice weather-wise. The mornings are still quite cold, but when the sun comes out, it seems to warm up enough to let the kids wear their heavier jackets instead of bulky coats. With this, the snow has FINALLY started to melt. The front yard has actually been absent from snow for about a week or so, but because most of the backyard is shielded from the house, it has taken a little longer. Randomly today, Alora put on her pink and brown polka-dot rainboots, went to the back door, and declared she was going outside. I figured it was probably okay and with that, let her go outside. It took her just a second to find her yellow sand pail and start scooping snow. She would then carry it over to my little garden and dump it in declaring she was making a sand castle. It was actually pretty cute and surprisingly, this went on for almost an hour! I'm so glad winter is FINALLY almost over!
