Goodyear, Arizona and pretty much all the western side of Phoenix is pretty lacking in the whole holiday spirit, and the little they do have is pretty lame.  Luckily, we have some great friends and were still able to have fun and enjoy the holiday.

Our friends were house sitting for some other friends and allowed us to use their pool.  We've used it before and it is awesome!  It has an attached hot tub, diving board, cave/grotto, rock slide, etc.  The kids love it!  Plus, it's plenty big for all of our huge families. 

After swimming for several hours we all went home so the little ones could nap.  We soon met back up for some BBQ and then traveled down to watch Goodyear's fireworks in the ballpark.  The firework show was pretty lame, but the kids just love hanging out with their friends regardless.  We were even able to do a few of our own fireworks.
