Jackson's Bug Program

At the end of every school year the kindergarten classes put on a Bug Program. Each individual class sings a different bug song as well as a couple of joint ones. For this performance they are asked to wear a bug costume, which is definitely not the easiest thing to make, especially when your kid wants to be an ant, grasshopper, or praying mantis. Thankfully, I was able to convince Jackson to wear Noah's bee costume from two years ago, which made things so much easier. Posted below are some of Jack's many friends in their costumes.

Jackson and one of his best friends, Tyler B., who was a caterpillar.

Jackson and Savannah.

Jackson and another one of his best friends, Micah, who was dressed as a praying mantis. I guess it is possible to make this costume!

Jackson with our neighbor, Makenzie D., who was came as a butterfly.

Jackson with his friend Katherine B., who was also a butterfly.

Jackson with Mickie (who he has a crush on).

Jackson and his good friend, Eric C., another praying mantis.

Alora-ism

Alora was grabbing Winne's, our 1-year old cat, face and pulling her towards her.

Me: Alora, don't do that.
Alora: Why?
Me: She's your friend. You don't do that to your friend.
Alora: She's too boring.

Noah's Baptism

Noah was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday, May 10th. His baptism took place at the Eagle Mountain West Stake Center building in Eagle Mountain, Utah.

Two other boys from our ward were baptized the same day. L to R: Christopher H., Garrett B., and Noah (posing of course).

Noah with his Grandpa and Grandma Frye after his baptism. Grandpa Frye was one of the speakers at the baptism and Grandma Frye gave the closing prayer.

Max's 1st Haircut

We normally try and wait for their first birthday to get their first haircut, but like Jackson, Max's hair has grown so fast that we decided earlier was better. We took him to Cookie Cutters, a hair place that specializes in childrens hair. Max did great and not one tear was even shed. What a handsome little man he is!

Before the cut...

... during the cut...

... the finished product!

Before I knew it, Max had somehow ripped the wrapper off of the sucker he received and started eating it. His first taste of candy and he loved it!

Easter Bunny and Disneyland... Surprise!

The Easter Bunny surprised the kids this year by sending them to Disneyland for four days. (This was a total spur of the moment trip but it all worked out great and was perhaps the best Disney trip we've ever had.) Below are some of the highlights of the trip.

Snow White loved Max!

The boys with Peter Pan and Wendy (Alora was too afraid of the characters at this point).

The three oldest kids with the big man himself.

Our family on Paradise Pier (Californa Adventure) with Jesse from the Toy Story movies.

Jeremy modeling the famous Mickey ears.

The boys with the Incredible characters.

Alora and Noah in Critter Country (Disneyland).

Alora LOVED the princesses. Even though she saw three other prinesses earlier in the day, she was a little skeptical of seeing this one by herself.

Max was a little hesitant of the carousel at first...

... but then he realized it wasn't bad at all and he started smooching the pole (can we say germs?)

Jackson was a little afraid at the top of the Ferris Wheel, mostly when it would stop to load and unload other guests.

While at Disneyland, Max had three more teeth start to show (that makes 5)!
