Today we got to take the kids to a spring training game with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres. Because Jeremy's company is a corporate sponsor with the D-backs, we were treated to a pre-game luncheon and player autograph session. We also got to sit in the Miller Lite suite where the kids were spoiled by free sodas, licorice, popcorn and cotton candy.

Diamondbacks Fan Fest
Today we took the kids to the Diamondbacks Fan Fest. This event is sponsored by Subway, Jeremy's employer and many other companies. Fans have the opportunity to meet their favorite players, take pictures with them, get their autographs and enjoy all things baseball. Even the boys' favorite concessions man was there selling food!
Because we came a bit late (the boys had basketball games and Jackson had Little League try-outs), the kids were only really able to meet two of the players, Tuffy Gosewisch and Miguel Montero. They were able to see other players close-up and even got to play a mini game on Chase field. I know they would have liked to meet even more players, but it was so crowded.

Hangin' With the Diamondbacks
Last night Jeremy and I had the opportunity to attend the Arizona Diamondbacks MVP Sponsors Award Show. This event showcases and honors all the various corporate sponsors that help make the Diamondbacks a household name. Sponsors included companies such as Pepsi, Safelite Auto, Sanderson Ford, Subway, Taco Bell, APS, and Jeremy's own employer, Smile Generation. While Smile Gen didn't win any awards, we felt lucky enough to be invited and mingle with some of the players. We got to meet Paul Goldschmidt, first baseman, who happened to be the nicest guy. He asked about the boys' positions and genuinely seemed excited when we told him he was Noah and Jack's favorite player. Jeremy even used the bathroom with second baseman, Aaron Hill (it's always in the bathroom he meets celebs... first Dennis Haskins, aka Mr. Belding, and now Hill).
Overall, the event was pretty cool. Upon arrival we had to walk the red carpet, pause and allow the paparazzi to snap a bazillion photos, which was totally embarrassing. (Let's just hope the photos aren't used for anything later on.) The food was super fancy and definitely not something I'd ever want to eat on a regular basis, although the dessert was pretty cool. Jeremy works for such an awesome company and these little perks so cool!

5th of July Fun
Jeremy was able to secure some last minute Diamondbacks tickets so our entire family was able to attend. It worked out perfectly because the game ended with a FANTASTIC firework show, which more than made up for the crummy Goodyear one the night before.
The Diamondbacks played against the Colorado Rockies and we smoked then. Only once did the Rockies make it past first base, and even then, it was just to second base. They played great! The boys (and Jeremy) were super stoked the entire time. Their favorite players all got to play and did pretty awesome.
